Orange Sherbet is a cultivar created by renowned mango breeder, Gary Zill. It s Lemon Meringue parentage makes it a sibling of Lemon Zest.
Orange Sherbet is renowned for its sweet mango flavor and distinctive orange undertone. These oblong fruits emit a citrus aroma that delights the senses. The fruit are medium-sized, with an oval-oblong shape, turning yellow at maturity with an orange fiberless flesh. The flavor is incredibly rich and sweet with a strong, complex orange-citrus candy flavor. Fruit ripens midseason – between July August.
Orange Sherbet is an ideal choice for individuals seeking moderately vigorous growing and good producing mango tree. They seem to have better resistance to bacterial black spots than Lemon Meringue and Lemon Zest.
