‘Cecilove’ Mango Tree Professionally Grafted
‘Cecilove’ is a selection of ‘Carrie’ from the breeding program of Gary Zill in Boynton Beach, FL. It is believed that ‘Zill Indochinese’ (Zinc) was its pollen parent, and its flavor profile aligns closely with the Indochinese hybrid variety.
Cecilove mangoes are known for their smooth, fiberless flesh and rich Indochinese flavor that boasts a distinct tart element that mellows as the mango ripens, evolving into a syrupy sweetness reminiscent of cola. Described as having a citrus and berry undertone complemented by a tangy twist. The fruits are typically medium to large in size, with an oval or oblong shape, and they usually have a yellow to orange skin color when ripe.
Fruit ripens midseason – between July August. Like most mango varieties, ‘Cecilove’ mango trees prefer full sun and a wide variety of soils as long as drainage is excellent.
